| I went to Aldi and got a bunch of cleaning and laundry products and basic pantry items like tinned salmon, pasta, rice etc. I think I spent about $600 all up. I still need to buy a bucket and mop and a heater. I don't think there is anything else I need. It's all in the shopping bags in C&A's temple room! I didn't want to leave it in the back of my car although I'll probably get the keys on Wednesday. Settlement is Friday. Can't wait! I have the electricity organised to switch over, the phone reconnected and the internet (can only get DSL boo hoo), the water gets done by the conveyancer. Oh i have to get content insurance but I can ring up tomorrow and get that done. I think that's it. I really can't think of anything else. I'm all packed and I will take a few car loads of smaller stuff over on Friday night. Mover comes Sat morning. | | |
| I got a sofa on eBay and was meant to have it delivered too but it was raining so hard, I said i would arrange for it to get picked up next weekend. The seller called me on Sunday and said they could drop it over 'now', so they did and the sofa is excellent. Nicer than I expected, but i knew it would be nice because it is nearly brand new. My phone went flat on Sat afternon so I didn't bother to recharge it until tonight (Monday) so I was a hermit Sat night and Sunday. After the sofa got delivered on Sunday, I just hung out at home doing domestics and playing with the cats. Today I went shopping and brought a bunch of stuff that I don't have for my new place - toaster, kettle, dinner settting, saucepans, kitchen utensils etc. I got a very nice Russell Hobbs kettle and matching fancy pants toaster for 50% off. | | |
| This long weekend has gone so fast, I can't hardly believe it. Did nothing Friday night - watched tv with the cats, did some paid blogging. Packed for the move on Saturday, had 2 bookcases delivered from a seller on eBay - they were nicer than I expected and cost me $100 each plus $65 delivery. I'm happy with the price. I've seen similar bookcases go on eBay for $150-180. | | |
| Ok so it's saturday night of the long weekend and right now, I'm not eating or drinking and the feelings coming up are sad and lonely. I get the strongest impression of a little girl sitting on the sofa with no love, attention or affection. She's lonely and scared and not sure where she is. | | |
| I just got a nice sofa bed on eBay. The lady and her husband willdeliver it, so that's good. I also emailed the sellers for a fridge Iwant and a pair of bookcases. I made them an offer so we'll see whathappens. I need to go shopping on the weekend and buy some kitchenstuff but I can't quite remember what I do and don't have. Actually Ican probably borrow a few pieces of crockery and cutlery from C&A'skitchen and then go shopping next weekend after I unpack. I'm so excited at actually being in my own place, with my own stuff andhaving all my books up on their very own shelves! | | |
